That’s a wrap on the 2023 VPELA Conference!
If you’ve seen the photos being shared across LinkedIn, you’d notice the Traffix Group banner in the background of nearly all of them. We are honoured to have continued our support of VPELA and the Conference by being this year’s Platinum Sponsor.
An incredible list of speakers and sessions touching on all things diversity and inclusion in and out of the industry, including Traffix Group Directors, Carlo Morello and Charmaine Dunstan, who took to the stage throughout the conference.
Carlo took on the role of MC for day one of the conference including sharing a ‘mind hack’ yawning (fake) exercise to help keep everyone focussed before chairing a Transport Specific Focus session which delved into the world of electric vehicles, self-driving cars, e-scooters & bikes and their role to play as traffic disrupters into the future.
And the ever popular YPG Debate saw Charmaine argue that AI might not be much better than a set of Magic 8-balls inside a SIDRA Black Box! The light-hearted debate saw both the teams filling the room with roaring laughter whilst challenging attendee’s thoughts on whether AI would actually ruin the development industry.
