Matchworks Cremorne

The Matchworks Cremorne project involved redevelopment of the former Bryant and May Industrial Complex at Cremorne in Melbourne to provide for a 200-room hotel operated by The Hoxton, approximately 25,000sqm of office floor area and various retail offerings.

Traffix Group provided design services, traffic impact assessment, traffic analysis, parking analysis and assistance with public realm planning including reconfiguration of two local streets.

Our relationships with Council and overall technical ability improved the access arrangements for not only this site, bus was of benefit to the wider area.

District Living Docklands

The District Docklands project is Melbourne’s biggest build-to-rent development with more than 900 apartments across two buildings planned on the City’s edge.

Traffix Group provided the full suite of traffic engineering services including precinct wide traffic engineering advice to ensure compliance with the existing Development Plan. We also conducted a car parking operation study of the existing District carpark to determine the optimum method to unlock additional car parking through the existing carpark infrastructure.

In addition, the Waste Management team provided waste management planning and design advice separating each component and addressing bin numbers, waste storage areas, loading requirements and consultation with Council and private waste contractors. The complex waste management solution included chutes, bin lifters and compactors.

Traffix Group provided the full suite of traffic engineering and transport services to assist in securing a Planning Permit for this 5-storey mixed use development, comprised of circa 50 apartments and a full-line Woolworths supermarket.

Extensive negotiations with the Department of Transport and Planning, Council and Local Residents took place to resolve traffic and road safety concerns and provide a high-quality solution for the proposal and community.

The proposal will include the signalisation of an existing intersection with Burke Road, and DTP approval to a direct site access to customer parking and loading.

Traffix Group provided detailed advice in the initial Town Planning phase for multiple applications, as well traffic and parking surveys, intersection modelling, concept designs, and expert evidence as part of a VCAT application.

150 Charlotte Street, Brisbane

The project involves the internal refurbishment of the 150 Charlotte Street building. Traffix Group was engaged to prepare detailed swept path diagrams for truck access to and from basement car park to determine the largest size vehicle to be able to access the site. This information was used to inform the overall construction methodology.

11-55 Maroochy Boulevard, Maroochydore QLD

Traffix Group were engaged to provide a traffic engineering review of a proposed hand car wash within the basement car parking area of the existing Maroochydore Homemaker Centre (The Centre) at 11-55 Maroochy Boulevard, Maroochydore. The additional use resulted in a reduction in car parking for the existing uses at the site. Accordingly, an assessment of the appropriateness of accomodating the post-development parking demands within the reduced provision of carparking was undertaken. Furthermore, a detailed review and design advice of the amended car parking and bicycle layout and vehicle access arrangements was provided to satisfy the relevant standards and statutory requirements.
