Traffix Group’s involvement in this project included preparation of expert witness and presentation at Planning Panels for the applicant in relation to the traffic and transport impacts of the proposed wind farm.

Extensive negotiations with the Department of Transport and Planning, Council and Local Residents took place to resolve traffic and road safety concerns and provide a high-quality solution for the proposal and community.

The proposal will include the signalisation of an existing intersection with Burke Road, and DTP approval to a direct site access to customer parking and loading.

Traffix Group provided detailed advice in the initial Town Planning phase for multiple applications, as well traffic and parking surveys, intersection modelling, concept designs, and expert evidence as part of a VCAT application.

The project team developed a strategy to manage the transport of Houseboats along a section of public road near Lake Eildon, with a strong focus on the uniqueness of the frequent transport of oversized loads a short distance through mountanious terrain. The Strategy also had a strong focus on the NHVR requirements for oversized loads.

Our role involved the investigation of comprehensive crash data, development of treatments to reduce future crashes from occuring and the preparation of concept level designs and other supporting documentation.

Given the limited project timeframe, a dedicated project team was established and was able to provide the numerous outputs required in a period of 2-3 weeks

The study developed innovative proposals to address potential road safety issues associated with through traffic, current cycling conditions and prioritise pedestrian movements in the area.

The project also included several rounds of community and stakeholder consultation, with traffic engineers conducting engaging and informative community meetings throughout the study process.

Our role involved reviewing options, with the final design featuring an innovative contra-flow bicycle lane.

We developed the optimum layout for the site, and prepared concepts and detailed design plans for the facility.

Initially we conducted a traffic impact assessment of on-site parking requirements, and developed access arrangements from the external road network.

Following the funding approval, we developed the internal road network layout, including parking and pedestrian facilities.

Our role included using SIDRA transport modelling to assess options for the location and arrangement of proposed tram stops.

The redevelopment will be undertaken in three stages. Stage 1 of the proposal contemplates additional retail floor area and almost +100 car spaces. The Second Stage proposes the redevelopment and revisioning of the eastern portion of the site to include additional retail, 3 residential towers, serviced apartments, office and other uses.

Traffix Group has been involved throughout the Town Planning Stages for all stages to date, which has included coordination and detailed discussions with the Department of Transport and Planning and Council, including obtaining concept approval for the delivery of upgrades traffic signals at Burwood Highway/Blackburn Road and the introduction of a new signalised intersection at Blackburn Road/Ray Road.

We continue to provide advice for new tenants of the Centre, including recently assisting with approvals for the Roller One roller skating rink.

Home Residential ultimately developed the site for their new Home Richmond Quarter, which provides over 350 residential apartments, managed within a Built to Rent scheme, with only 50% of apartments with a car space.
