The review included detailed site inspections, adopting a Road Safety Audit methodology, to idtentify safety risks and develop mitigation measures.

A review of the existing operations was conducted, with traffic management plans produced to include recommended treatments for the differing operational characteristics of market and non-market days.

As part of this project, we visited 85 individual public recreational areas, assessing the existing traffic management arrangements, collborating with local staff and preparing a site specific traffic management plan for each site.

Each traffic management plan was prepared to improve the safety and operation of the site, with an overarching traffic management approach developed to address common issues and provide guidance on their resolution, supported by cost estimates for each site.
