Our initial work included development of the intersection layout through SIDRA transport modelling, and after the project was approved we prepared detailed plans for the civil works and traffic signal layout.

We prepared traffic management plans for all stages of the works, including long-term major road closures during the project.

Our comprehensive traffic management plans incorporated detailed layouts for safety barriers, temporary traffic signals and site access points.

We assisted with the precinct structure plan and traffic engineering assessments for permit approvals for the subdivision and internal subdivision layouts.

Our work has also involved preparing concepts and detailed designs of interim and final road networks, traffic signals, roundabouts, shared paths, acceleration/deceleration lanes onto Western Freeway, and obtaining successful approvals by Melton Council and VicRoads.

Our role included a detailed design of the signals, including a traffic signal plan. It also involved consultation with PTV to ensure that the proposed pedestrian-operated traffic signals would not adversely affect tram services, and that the signals location allowed for future upgrades to tram stops along Smith Street.

The project involved separation of the tram lanes from road traffic between Flinders Street and City Road, and the construction of DDA-compliant platform stops and modifications to signalised intersections.

We prepared a traffic impact assessment for the project for review and approval by VicRoads and the City of Melbourne.

Initially our services ranged from internal car parking and vehicle access planning to external road network modelling using microsimulation software.

We are now working with NH Architecture assisting Probuild with the preparation of detailed documentation for the construction stage, which began in early‐2017.
