A detailed review and design advice of the proposed car parking and bicycle layout and vehicle access arrangements was provided to satisfy the relevant standards and statutory requirements.

A written Traffic Engineering Assessment was prepared to accompany the application which included a car parking reduction against default statutory rates.

Our involvement included the development of a vehilce access ramp to the beach for life saving vehicles and beach cleaning machinery, and included vehicle specific ground clearance assessments. Works also included the treatment of the Bay Trail interface with pedestrians / vehilces and the design of the carpark.

The study developed innovative proposals to manage through traffic, improve cycling conditions and prioritise pedestrian movements in the precinct, in addition to the preparation of an extensive parking management plan.

Our role also included reviewing extensive community feedback to incorparate the priorities of local residents and business owners when developing treatments.
